Wait for the summer nights... After a good few months of gigging up and down the small island, Echo Red are taking June off from live shows. However, they will be far from lazing around on their fat arses watching Happy Tree Friends, as they're taking the time out to work solidly on new, heavier material. They will also be returning to Winderton Studios to spend a lot of time on an 8-track at the hands of magician Bruce Campbell. They will be gracing stages with their presence in order to cause chaos once again in July - we'll keep you updated!!! On another note Echo Red would like to thank 'Darken the Sun' for being truly good sports recently.

Lime DVD out soon! Jack 'The Lad' Woods brought some clever techno gizmo's to the Abandoned Warehouse Rockshow last week and all of the entire night - including our set - will be available on DVD from Terminal Records any time soon... hope to see you all at the next rocknight where we're billed to support hardcore nutters Johnny Mental... we are not worthy...

Contrary to popular belief, we are not modeling for Calvin Klein... ...however, last time we were in Cardiff (at the Toucan Club gig), Echo Red met up with proffessional photographer Mei Lewis. It was a laugh, and some of the results are in the pics section (there are LOADS more on CD). Mei was great on the day and what he has produced is phenomenal. Echo Red would like to thank him lOoOoOoads and cannot wait until he somes along to capture our souls next time we play the big city...

EP Finished! Adam, Luke, Rich and producer guy Phil spent all day Tuesday laying down new guitar licks and vocal tracks before tidying up the mess we made before, and mixing it to buggery in the Pulse. Adam went back today to tweak it to perfection in all the right places and now holds the final mix on mini-disc. Sometime over the weekend we'll invest in CD's with which to make duplications and organise a boxing match to argue about the price. It should be available to buy in Terminal Records, H-west by the first day of the Easter holidays at the latest. We'll keep you posted!

EP put on hold... The bad news - we have come accross a few minor faults in the recording of the latest EP which will hold back its release for a few weeks (sorry). Also, Scott Jones has left True Renegade! Gutted... they march on regardless. Some good news! - We have been jammin' like strawberrys and have come up with a few new tracks that can only be described as THRASH! Which brings us closer to the second Echo Red full blown album effort still...

Sponsorship Deal courtesy of True Renegade Promotions! After speaking with promoter Scott Jones, Echo Red have agreed to a sponsorship deal with mid Wales' newboys True Renegade. What this means, in a nutshell, is that we get a few more gigs, a few more t-shirts and a little financial assistance and all we do is carry the name True Renegade with us. Think of it as a record contract without the contract! Today Pinky, we are going to try and take over the world...

New EP / Album teaser in finishing touches stage! Recorded Brother Famine, Dark Spoon, Motoslave and an acoustic version of Invisible last Tuesday at the Pulse. We have pressed a rough mix and we are going back after the Brecon gig (with a little help from some friends) to spruce up the final version. It'll be on sale in Terminal / from the band members for a few quid and I think we're calling it the Fungus EP. It's not exactly the work of Rick Rubin or Ross Robinson, but it's merely an album teaser for the 9-lets-spend-vast-amounts-of-money-track idea floating around at the moment...keep your eyes peeled...

Workin' hard as usual... I'm very very tired! Last Tuesday's gig went alright - couldn't hear sweet f*** all through the monitors on stage but we got a lot of good feedback (ta like!) Brecon is going to kick ass though! The night after we were back in the Merlin Theatre shooting a video for Brother Famine - the heat the lights, jumping around like loons a good few times - a laugh but incredibly draining! We're hoping to include it as a feature on an enhanced CD once we've recorded the album. We've also been snap happy and taken many photos of the new line up in the studio and back-stage; these will be uploaded to the site soon enough! As you can see the forum is also running successfully - keep it up! Adam.

Work started on new EP... Us Red's have been jammin our little rock hearts out with the new line up and have started work on a new EP, which is taking a more hardcore, dark / alternative funk-metal approach to what we've done before...All the tracks except the drums have been laid down and it should be finished within the next few days (so we'd better hurry up and think of a title for it!!!). Remember to contact us via the email address on the homepage if you want any of our past CD's (Old and new versions...) and t-shirts etc...

Take me home!
